US Project Quality Coordinator

Join us as our US Project Quality Coordinator. This position is hybrid and can be based in New York, Boston, Durham, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Atlanta or Washington, DC. 

The role of US Project Quality Coordinator is to support Buro Happold’s global quality team within the US region in the management of Buro Happold’s quality standards and ISO 9001 compliance. Additionally, the role involves support of Project Governance in the US region as it relates to quality, project management, and improvement of management and quality systems.

Your next role

  • US regional support of ISO 9001 certification and company global quality requirements. Support the Global Quality Manager to:
    1. Facilitate audits by external auditing agencies for ISO 9001 certification throughout the US region
    2. Attend ISO 9001 audits with project and local leadership to record key takeaways and non-conformances
    3. Follow up with project teams, local leadership, and the Global Quality Manager to address non-conformances and provide evidence for closure
    4. Identify and implement opportunities for systems and process improvement identified during the audit process
    5. Support and follow up on training for Quality throughout the US region 
  • Project governance support in the US Region. Support the US Project Governance Lead to:
    1. Facilitate project review boards including coordination, assisting in planning and tracking, and improvements in the process
    2. Develop project governance guidelines for the US region
    3. Organize communication of governance initiatives throughout the region including maintaining the US Governance SharePoint site and facilitating regionwide educational forums
    4. Support other project governance led initiatives to support improvement of project management throughout the region including improving and championing adoption of the global Project Management Office standards. 

Your skills and experience

  • 2+ years experience in a quality or project management position or a position providing experience in some of the desired skills below
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, in particular with Excel
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a busy and varied workload 
  • Flexible attitude with good team working skills
  • Diligent, with good attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills 

Desired skills

  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 registered organization
  • Quality management or auditing experience or training
  • Project management experience or training
  • PMI certification or similar education
  • MS SharePoint 
  • Experience working in the AEC industry

  • Salary range of $70,000 to $95,000. This will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience
