We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support to our Partners and Directors within our UK Buildings team, on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key role within our 24‑strong PA/EA community, contributing to the smooth, effective running of our business and supporting the delivery of world‑class projects.

About The Role:
As a Personal Assistant at Buro Happold, you will play a vital part in enabling our leaders to focus on strategic priorities, project delivery, and client relationships. You will manage busy schedules, co‑ordinate meetings, support communication flows, and ensure seamless organisation across a variety of business activities.
You’ll act as a trusted partner, communicating confidently across teams, maintaining confidentiality, and fostering collaborative, positive relationships. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, people‑centric environment and takes pride in delivering excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- General administration i.e., photocopying, scanning documents, arranging printing and binding.
- Co‑ordinate schedules, meetings, events, travel and reservations with efficiency and accuracy.
- Review and manage inboxes, prioritising and redirecting communications to ensure timely responses.
- Act as a liaison between internal departments, stakeholders, and external clients.
- Support Partners and Directors in driving business objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare, proofread and maintain correspondence, presentations, reports and key documentation.
- Undertake research and compile information for reports, records and decision‑making.
- Support the wider PA/EA team and contribute to onboarding new colleagues.
- Ensure information flows smoothly across the business and promote collaborative ways of working.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and add value beyond core PA duties.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience in a similar PA/EA role.
- Strong proficiency across MS365, especially PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High levels of organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Sound judgement, proactivity and the confidence to work independently.
- A high standard of ethics, discretion and the ability to handle sensitive information.
- Emotional intelligence, flexibility, and a collaborative approach.
- A positive, approachable and solutions‑focused attitude.
