About The Role

As a HR Shared Services Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in delivering consistent, highquality HR administrative support across Buro Happold’s global teams. You will manage and coordinate HR processes across the full employee lifecycle, act as the first point of contact for HR queries, and ensure accurate and compliant handling of employee data. Working closely with regional HR teams, you’ll help maintain smooth operations, support payroll, produce reports, and contribute to audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate and timely coordination across the full employee life cycle
  • Act as the first point of contact for queries via ServiceNow, phone, email, or face‑to‑face
  • Work closely with regional HR teams to support employees and managers globally
  • Liaise with payroll teams and ensure all data is provided in line with deadlines
  • Produce routine reports and respond to ad‑hoc data requests
  • Support internal and external audit requirements
  • Maintain and update HR systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance (including GDPR)
  • Manage requests within agreed Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
  • Help improve KPIs by proactively preventing overdue or unresolved queries
  • Support rollout, testing, and embedding of new HR tools and system enhancements
  • Review and enhance HR processes, guides, and templates
  • Contribute to digital transformation initiatives, including automation and AI‑enabled solutions

 

About You: 

Experience & Skills

  • Strong HR administration or shared services experience
  • Confident managing high‑volume workloads with precision and attention to detail
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and navigate ambiguity
  • Professional, confidential, and proactive approach

Desirable but not essential

  • Experience in engineering or professional services
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar HR ticketing systems
  • Experience working in a global organisation
  • Exposure to implementing new HR systems or tools
  • Interest in digital transformation, automation, and AI within HR
