Your key duties
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic graduate who is passionate about building performance engineering and committed to net-zero carbon design. You’ll play a key role in shaping the design and operation of buildings for energy efficiency, human comfort, and well-being.
You will work alongside senior team members to design low-carbon building service solutions, using cutting-edge energy modeling and building simulation techniques. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting energy and carbon modeling using tools like IES-VE.
- Performing thermal comfort and façade optimization studies.
- Analyzing daylight, natural ventilation, passive cooling, and mixed-mode strategies.
- Assessing sustainability and environmental impact through LEED, WELL, Mostadam, Estidama, and Passivhaus frameworks.
- Supporting post-occupancy evaluations, operational energy modeling, and energy audits.
- Researching building technologies, data analytics, and climate resilience strategies.
Your skills and experience
- Experience with IES-VE and parametric modeling tools (Rhino, Grasshopper).
- Understanding of ASHRAE 90.1, CIBSE TM54, and NABERS-UK frameworks.
- Knowledge of building services, energy systems, and HVAC optimization.
- Passion for net-zero carbon strategies and building performance evaluation
- Engineering background in Building Services/MEP Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Engineering Design, Engineering Science, Environmental Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
- Strong report writing and interpersonal skills
- Communicate fluently and positively in clear English
- Quick, innovative problem-solving skills
- Collaborate to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and contractors
- Promote a culture of added value and innovation
- Understand workplace and on-site Health and Safety
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with LEED, WELL, Mostadam, Estidama certifications.
- Experience with energy audits, ISO 50001, NABERS-UK, and building performance evaluation.
- Basic understanding of HVAC controls, metering, and system integration.
- Interest in coding, machine learning, and parametric modeling for energy efficiency.
