Your next role

We are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Graduate BIM & Computational Designer to join our dynamic MEP building design team. This role is ideal for recent graduates with a strong interest in digital design, automation, and collaborative project delivery. 
This is a learning-focused role where you will start with foundational BIM skills and gradually develop expertise in emerging technologies. Industry experts will mentor you while contributing to exciting projects including sustainable buildings, smart systems, and innovative MEP solutions. You will gain exposure to projects like: Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, Mercedes Benz Stadium, American Museum of Natural History, and various sustainable building initiatives. Your key duties: 

  • Troubleshooting and technical support to project teams in developing and managing BIM models using Revit
  • Participate in the input of geometry and data into BIM models
  • Develop and maintain Revit content libraries through the creation of families and learning documentation standards
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal BIM standards and templates
  • QA pre issue and QA post issue construction documents to ensure they uphold Buro Happold’s design standards
  • Engage with cloud-based collaboration platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Assist in training and mentoring team members in BIM and computational design tools
  • Develop automated solutions to augment and enhance our BIM processes
  • Contribute to our open-source coding platform BHoM (bhom.xyz)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across a global practice
  • Actively review emerging technologies and industry wide BIM design applications
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards including ISO 19650
  • Participate in EDI and OH&S initiatives to promote a safe and inclusive workplace.


Your skills and experience

This role will require the following:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, engineering or construction management
  • Familiarity with BIM modelling software such as Revit
  • Interest and/or experience in visual programming (Dynamo, Grasshopper), coding (Python, C#)
  • Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible manner
  • Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

What we offer:

  • Salary range of $77,000 to $80,000. This will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience
