About The Role

This is a key role at the heart of Buro Happold’s global Learning & Development function, leading the delivery and operations of learning programmes that grow capability and drive high performance across the business. You will work closely with business leaders, HR colleagues and external partners to provide highquality learning experiences that are aligned with our strategic priorities and evolving skills needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of global L&D initiatives and programmes, ensuring they meet strategic goals and are scalable, consistent and high impact across regions.
  • Own the global crossdiscipline learning portfolio and budget, optimising quality, efficiency and learner experience.
  • Use data, reporting and learner insights to evaluate programme effectiveness and make evidencebased recommendations that support individual and business growth.
  • Partner with business leaders, Digital Enablement, Programme Delivery and external L&D providers to design and deliver initiatives aligned to future capability needs and our AIenabled learning roadmap.
  • Drive automation and improvement of L&D systems, tools and workflows to reduce manual effort and enhance accuracy, transparency and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and develop L&D Coordinators responsible for endtoend programme administration, scheduling and reporting for crossdiscipline offerings.

  • Streamlined, datadriven learning operations that improve learner experience and strengthen global L&D delivery.
  • Strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders and technical experts, ensuring L&D is closely connected to business outcomes.
  • A motivated, highperforming L&D operations team, continuously improving processes, digital capability and ways of working.

What you’ll bring: 

  • Proven experience leading or coordinating L&D programmes in a complex or global environment, with strong planning, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing L&D coordinators or similar roles, ensuring high standards of programme delivery and learner experience.
  • Confidence working with subject matter experts to shape engaging learning experiences, and commercial awareness including setting and managing budgets.
  • Handson experience with a Learning Experience Platform or Learning Management System, using data, reporting and insights to inform decisions.
  • Ability to learn and adapt at pace, solve problems across diverse stakeholder groups and contexts, and work flexibly across time zones when needed.
  • A collaborative and relationship focused approach, connecting with colleagues across HR and Global Business Service to enable joined-up delivery. 
  • Confidence in producing clear, accurate reports, insights and presentations tailored to a range of audiences. 
  • Curiosity about digital tools and data, with a commitment to continuously developing your own skills and supporting others CPD.
