We are looking for a key addition to our well-established finance team. This role uniquely combines both statutory and management accounting skillsets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing comprehensive end-to-end management accounts, accurately reporting revenue and costs on various projects, and supporting junior team members with month-end BAU (Business as Usual) and ad-hoc tasks.

Key duties:
You will be responsible for the preparation and control of monthly management and project accounts, as well as the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. Attend regular finance project reviews for the assigned portfolio, acting as a business partner to provide guidance and challenge to project performance.
Additionally, you will review debtors to manage risks for the project portfolio and possess knowledge of project and operational risks and opportunities within the region and project portfolio. The role also involves working collaboratively with the Project Operations Team.
The role involves providing financial and commercial decision support, presenting financial analysis and monthly financial commentary to project leadership teams, and liaising with other Group and Regional finance teams.
You will control and own multiple cost centres within the business, handle quarterly WIP reporting for the project portfolio, and act as the point of contact for financial issues on assigned cost centres.
This role also involves compiling ad hoc reports, presentations, and information requests, as well as ensuring adherence to local finance systems and processes.
Your skills and experience:
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA Finalist or Fully Qualified.
- Highly resilient with outstanding communication abilities and a proven eye for detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the capability to establish and manage financial support systems.
- Self-assured and proactive, capable of leading in challenging situations, and able to work independently using personal initiative.
- Experienced in operating at a comparable level of responsibility, delivering technical accounting and financial insights while guiding and supporting both strategic and tactical decision-making.
- Exceptionally organised with a demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Adopts a positive and collaborative approach to fostering and developing relationships with key non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience in the professional services or engineering/construction industry would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint and Agresso accounting system would be advantageous but is not essential.
