We are looking for an experienced Partnership Financial Controller to join our Partnership Finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract, providing maternity cover. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the financial affairs of our global partnership and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

About The Role

As Partnership Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing all financial aspects of our partners' relationship with the LLP. Reporting to the LLP Executive Director and leading one direct report, you will oversee partner capital accounts, profit distribution, taxation matters, partner onboarding and retirement processes, and support the ongoing operation of our partner share scheme.

This is a highly visible role requiring exceptional technical expertise, attention to detail, and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the financial affairs of over 80 partners globally.
  • Overseeing partner onboarding, including payments, pensions and tax registrations.
  • Managing partner capital investments and liaising with banking partners regarding capital loans.
  • Leading partner retirement and exit processes.
  • Preparing monthly drawings schedules and advance profit share calculations.
  • Calculating and allocating annual profit share distributions.
  • Maintaining partner tax accounts and estimated tax retention calculations.
  • Producing annual capital statements and partner financial reporting.
  • Working closely with external tax advisers, pension providers, banks and auditors.
  • Supporting LLP tax return preparation and partner tax reporting requirements.
  • Assisting with the ongoing operation and development of the partner share scheme.
  • Contributing to strategic and high-profile partnership-related projects.

About You: 

We're looking for someone who combines strong financial expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience working with complex financial data and reconciliations.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of UK personal taxation and self-assessment processes.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confident communicator, able to explain complex financial matters to non-specialists.
