Your key duties

We are seeking a motivated Energy & Dry Utilities Engineer to support the planning and design of electrical, energy, and dry utility infrastructure across some of Saudi Arabia’s most ambitious giga and megaprojects.Working directly under our Power Systems Expert, you will contribute to developing energy strategies, power network designs, and integration of renewable energy systems into master plans and infrastructure developments.

  • Support in the development of EHV, HV, and MV network designs in line with SEC codes and Grid/Distribution standards.
  • Assist in load flow, fault level, and voltage drop calculations.
  • Contribute to preparation of single-line diagrams, network schematics, and load assessment reports.
  • Support appraisal and integration of renewable energy sources (solar PV, wind, hybrid systems) into project energy strategies.
  • Participate in energy supply strategy studies, network reinforcement, and energy storage evaluations.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for energy efficiency and carbon reduction across projects.
  • Contribute to the design and coordination of dry utility networks (power, telecom, and ICT infrastructure) within urban and regional masterplans.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of utilities in line with planning and design criteria.
  • Assist in preparation of technical reports, presentations, and data analysis for clients and authorities.
  • Support power system modelling in tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS/E, or equivalent (training provided).
  • Maintain documentation, design assumptions, and design calculations in accordance with project QA/QC processes.

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or Energy Engineering.
  • Experience in power or energy infrastructure design (preferably within consultancy or utility sectors).
  • Knowledge of SEC standards, Grid/Distribution Codes, and KSA electricity infrastructure is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with power system modelling tools (e.g., DIgSILENT, PSS/E, ETAP) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams (power, mechanical, civil, and urban planning).
