We have an opportunity for a Transfer Pricing Director. This is a great opportunity for an experienced individual to join the Tax and central Finance team which consists of over 100 people across 13 global offices managed across five business units.
The Role
The group operates in 38 global locations with over 100 partners and over 3,000 employees. It is currently in a period of growth both in size and scope of services. There is an increased requirement to ensure the group remains compliant with transfer pricing requirements, standardisation and efficiency.
The Transfer Pricing Director (fixed term) will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the transfer pricing policies and strategies for the Group. This role involves ensuring group compliance with international transfer pricing regulations, conducting economic and financial analyses, and providing strategic advice on intercompany transactions.
This is a hybrid role, combining office and home working. You’ll be expected to be in the office at least 2 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Policy development: Review, assess and update existing transfer pricing policies to ensure compliance with OECD guidelines and local regulations.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive transfer pricing documentation, including functional analyses, economic analyses, and benchmarking studies.
- Compliance: review changes in global transfer pricing legislation and ensure the firm's practices are current and compliant.
- Intercompany transactions: Evaluate and advise on intercompany transfers of intangible property, services, and loans.
- Financial analysis: Conduct financial and economic analyses to support transfer pricing positions and strategies.
- Enquiry management: lead on transfer pricing enquiry and dispute resolution, providing necessary documentation and strategic defence.
- Stakeholder management: Build strong working relationships with internal teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure effective transfer pricing practices.
- Training: Provide education and training to stakeholders both in finance and to practice leaders on transfer pricing policies and changes in legislation.
- Project management: Lead and manage transfer pricing projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
Skills & Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent plus CTA or equivalent tax qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in transfer pricing within a professional services firm or large multinational corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of OECD transfer pricing guidelines and international tax principles.
- Experience of setting and implementing transfer pricing policies.
- Experience with analysing and implementing international transfer pricing regulations
- Understanding of accounting concepts and tax law
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to extract, analyse, and review data and make appropriate recommendations
- Self-starter and able to work with minimal guidance
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills and challenging mind, prepared to ask “why” rather than “what”
- Ambitious to succeed and strong drive to push tasks through to completion
- Good organisational skills and able to work to tight deadlines
- Proven experience in managing and delivering complex projects.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software and financial modelling.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to adapt to changing regulations and business environments.
- Confident in communicating complex concepts in an understandable way to lay audiences.
