Senior Structural Site Engineer

We are currently seeking candidate for Senior Structural Site Engineer position to represent BH on our ongoing and future sites, primarily in Mumbai but expandable to Pan India. The individual must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of working to deliver complex site projects for an Engineering Consultancy.

Your next role

  • Advise on all technical aspects of the building structure that may affect construction progress and quality.
  • Technical support and review the contractor’s coordinated shop drawings against the Issued For Construction Drawings for compliance with the design intent.
  • Technical support and review of contractor(s) and/or subcontractor calculations for permanent works elements and connections required to be submitted by the design specifications.
  • Technical support and review of sub-contractor’s structural / civil shop drawings in conjunction with the building services engineers to assist in engineering co-ordination and advise accordingly
  • Technical support and review of sub-contractor’s construction method statement, test results, material submittals for new permanent works or remedial works
  • Technical support and review of sub-contractor’s structural / civil materials proposals against specified technical performance requirements and advise on the appropriateness of the proposals
  • Attend project(s) meetings related to structural / civil technical items
  • Review compliance against the Design Subcontractor specified technical requirements.
  • Respond to RFIs in consultation with design teams
  • Write site visit reports and maintain logs of works
  • Assist the design teams in periodic updates of the technical specifications by providing site insights
  • Visit multiple sites and be BH ambassador at site meetings

Your skills and experience

  • The individual must be a degree holder with a minimum of 10+ years’ experience and must be have proven and demonstrable track record.
  • Demonstrable experience of ensuring the quality at the site works whilst adhering to the technical requirements and technical discussions with the design teams.
  • Ability to accept a high degree of responsibility in a team-based organization, combined with ability to work independently and collaborating closely with an office based engineering design team.
  • Broad site knowledge from working on a wide range of projects.
  • Experienced technical and project leader; track record of successful delivery over a sustained period within the industry.
  • The individual will have considerable experience working on complex, large and tall building sites based building projects in India, Middle East or another international location including design office experience.
  • Bachelor degree (BEng) / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
