Your key duties
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Forensics Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for investigating structural failures, assessing damage, conducting site inspections, and providing expert analysis and recommendations for remedial works. This role requires a deep understanding of structural engineering principles, forensic investigation techniques, and the ability to communicate and report findings effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations of structural failures and damage.
- Perform detailed site inspections to assess structural integrity and identify issues.
- Analyse structural components and systems to determine the cause of failures.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings, including recommendations for remedial works.
- Collaborate with other engineers, architects, and construction professionals.
- Develop and implement supervise testing procedures and protocols.
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards and regulations.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in forensic investigation techniques.
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer ICE, PE license or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Demonstrable experience in structural engineering, with a significant forensic investigations experience
- Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient Experience in using structural analysis software and tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with advanced forensic investigation techniques.
- Membership in professional organisations such as ICE or similar.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
