Senior IT Support Officer (ITSO)

Your next role
The role will be responsible for completing IT BAU and support tasks and standing in for the Regional IT Manager as needed. The role is hands-on and will be customer-facing and will also need experience in overseeing more junior team member’s work.
The role is expected to maintain exceptional customer service as measured via Service Level Objectives and other KPIs. It will be located on site but will need excellent communication and stakeholder management skills as it operates in a global team. The role is a senior member of the team and will take ownership of customer service and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with the IT service. It will also ensure any projects that need to be performed in the local office are correctly resourced and completed.
- Mentoring, motivating and developing junior members of staff.
- Ensure SLO for the team are monitored and achieved.
- Provide analysis and insights for improvements.
- Ensure local projects are managed and correctly resourced.
- Identify and track new work packages and projects from stakeholders.
- Provide reporting for managers and stakeholders.
- Attend IT and office operations meetings.
- Manage the lifecycle of IT assets including network equipment, phones, software and laptops and liaise with vendors to complete new purchases and renewals.
- Lead the IT aspects of office moves or refurbishments and collaborates with third parties
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor’s/Master's degree in a relevant field with minimum 10 years of experience in IT Support role.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritise effectively.
- Microsoft Office 365 troubleshooting.
- Microsoft Windows 11 troubleshooting.
- Microsoft Windows Server troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders
- Customer service experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft infrastructure (SharePoint, Azure, Entra, Active Directory, Intune)
- ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM tool experience.
- Familiarity with MECM/SCCM Administration.
- Familiarity with IT networking.
- Familiarity with supporting video conferencing facilities.
- ITIL knowledge or experience working in an ITIL environment
- Experience working within engineering
- A Bachelor’s degree BEng or Master’s degree MEng in a relevant discipline.
- Industry related qualifications (ITIL, COBIT)
