Senior Drainage Engineer
We are looking to recruit a Senior Drainage Engineer to deliver the design and analysis of storm water drainage systems for infrastructure and highway projects, ensuring technically sound, sustainable, and compliant solutions. The role involves working within multidisciplinary teams and supporting project delivery from concept through detailed design.

Your next role:
1. Storm Water & Drainage Design
- Undertake design of storm water drainage systems including pipelines, culverts, channels, and attenuation systems
- Perform hydrological and hydraulic analysis and modelling
- Conduct flood risk assessments and develop mitigation measures
- Prepare design calculations, drawings, and technical reports
2. Project Delivery
- Contribute to delivery of drainage packages across concept, preliminary, and detailed design stages
- Ensure designs meet quality standards, timelines, and project requirements
- Support preparation of specifications, BOQs, design reports and design documentation
- Assist in design reviews and approvals
3. Multidisciplinary Coordination
- Coordinate with other disciplines like highways, transport, utilities, and structural teams
- Support integration of drainage systems within overall infrastructure design
- Resolve design interfaces and clashes in collaboration with other disciplines using the Navis works or similar tools
4. Standards, Compliance & Sustainability
- Ensure designs comply with local and international standards (IRC, MoRTH, UK DMRB/Middle East standards where applicable)
- Apply sustainable drainage principles where relevant
- Maintain adherence to quality and HSE standards
5. Team Support & Collaboration
- Support and guide junior engineers and technicians
- Work closely with senior engineers and project leads for technical delivery
- Contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
6. Client & Stakeholder Interaction
- Participate in client meetings and technical discussions
- Support submissions to authorities and approval processes
- Assist in addressing client comments and design revisions

Your skills and experience
- Ideally be in the range of 8-12 years’ experience range
- Strong experience in storm water drainage and highway drainage design
- Proficiency in tools such as:
- AutoCAD / Civil 3D
- InfoDrainage / SewerGEMS / MicroDrainage
- HEC-RAS / SWMM
- Good understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and flood modelling
- Experience working on multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
- Ability to prepare and review drawings, reports, and calculations
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Exposure to BIM workflows and tools
- Construction-stage or site experience
- Familiarity with authority approval processes
- Degree in Civil Engineering/ water resources / Hydrology and a Master’s degree in Hydraulics / Water Resources (preferred)
- from a reputed institute
- Experience on Middle East / UK / international projects would be an advantage
