Your next role

The purpose of this role is to provide proactive Design Management to deliver major building projects in the Middle East. You will be responsible for successful project execution and delivery, client interface, and leading the technical quality of all interior design-related matters across a landmark luxury project in Riyadh.

Your key duties

  • Lead the interior design management process across concept, schematic, developed and detailed design stages.

  • Manage and coordinate interior design consultants, specialist designers and related subconsultants.

  • Review interior design submissions for quality, compliance, functionality, luxury standards and project brief alignment.

  • Coordinate interior design packages with architecture, MEP, structures, procurement and operations teams.

  • Support design gateway reviews, mock-up reviews and technical approvals.

  • Manage issues, risks and project change requests related to interior design to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.

  • Participate in value engineering and cost validation exercises while maintaining the design vision and end-user experience.

  • Support the Project Manager and Project Director in overall project deliverables.

  • Prepare RFPs for interior design consultants, specialist suppliers and related activities.

  • Write weekly and monthly reports on design progress and key decisions.

  • Act as the primary client liaison on interior design matters.

  • Define the organisation of the design and delivery process, including oversight, resources, design cycles, assurance and communication protocols.

  • Support programme development by identifying milestones, dependencies and packaging strategies.

  • Evaluate progress to identify issues or limitations and propose solutions to improve delivery efficiency.

  • Delegate tasks effectively across the design management team and support consistent delivery standards.

  • Conduct feasibility reviews and support consultant and subconsultant selection.

  • Support the growth and improvement of project design management processes and procedures.

Your skills and experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.

  • Significant experience in interior design management on luxury hospitality, residential, retail, mixed-use or destination developments.

  • Strong understanding of premium interior design standards, detailing, materials and multidisciplinary coordination.

  • Able to operate in a BIM environment, with familiarity with Revit, BIM360 and Navisworks preferred.

  • Excellent written, visualisation and verbal communication skills, and the ability to simplify complex concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.

  • A positive and resilient attitude with the ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced project deliverables.

  • A highly organised, creative and conscientious individual, capable of managing multiple stakeholder expectations.

  • Middle East project experience is strongly preferred.
