Your key duties

 

Buro Happold is seeking a Senior Consultant in Riyadh. You will lead strategic projects, provide expert advice, and ensure successful client outcomes. Responsibilities include managing teams, developing strategies, and overseeing resources. You will also handle issues, risks, and project changes, contributing to PMO improvements. As a trusted advisor, you will drive the success of our iconic projects.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate goals, benefits, scope, complexity, timeline, cost, and risk.
  • Structure and manage portfolios and programs with optimal organization and decision-making.
  • Organize design and delivery, client interface, resources, skills, assurance, communication, and packaging.
  • Align strategy KPIs with portfolio execution.
  • Lead business and organizational changes, introduce new standards, governance models, and IT implementations.
  • Manage multiple portfolios and programs.
  • Design and implement the Strategy/Portfolio, Program, Project Management Office (SMO & P3O).
  • Embed P3M processes, templates, monitoring, and controls across lifecycles.
  • Ensure projects align with PMO Framework and best practices.
  • Develop plans and documents for managing portfolios/programs.
  • Embed reporting for executives and business units.
  • Create and monitor KPIs and dashboards using BI tools.
  • Manage tools focusing on design, data integrity, testing, and operations transition.
  • Direct project teams to comply with standards and guidelines.
  • Conduct training and coaching for management.
  • Evaluate program progress to improve efficiency.
  • Keep up with industry trends and adjust strategies.
  • Ensure even task distribution among team members.
  • Manage budgets, expenditures, and corrective actions.
  • Motivate team members to achieve goals.
  • Ensure accurate time recording on Deltek system.
  • Support PMO with business development and bidding.
  • Enhance PMO processes and procedures.

 

Your skills and experience

  • Proven record of successfully establishing and running a PMO for large scale organizations/firms
  • Track record of leading and delivering programs/projects and should span the program life cycles from conceptualization, initiation, engineering, construction, handover to close out
  • Strong management and technical skills
  • Must have as minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to details and technicalities
  • Good interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to adapt and stress management skills
  • Good IT and mathematical skills
