What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and contribute to a variety of projects, providing strategic advice on building performance, lifecycle planning, creative reuse, and more.
- Prepare professional reports including condition and defect analyses, Technical Due Diligence, Dilapidations and remedial works schedules
- Prepare technical specifications and schedules, design development reports and supporting clients in the implementation and on-site monitoring of design solutions.
- Act as Job Leader, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Represent Buro Happold at meetings with clients, other professionals, and suppliers and build strong, trusted relationships.
- Produce and review reports, presentations drawings to an excellent standard, with an emphasis on clarity, accuracy and technical insight.
- Support business development and contribute to internal initiatives that drive innovation and technical excellence.
- Mentor more junior team members, potentially leading to an early line management role.
What We’re Looking For
- As an experienced Senior Building Surveyor, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience preparing professional reports and presenting to clients.
- Experience acting as lead surveyor on projects
- Strong technical knowledge and capability from working on a wide range of projects, ranging in age, typology and sectors
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong project coordination and financial management skills.
- A Bachelor's degree BSc or Masters degree MSc in a relevant discipline (i.e. Building Surveying).
- Chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g. RICS) and experience in facilities management or property consultancy.
- A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Willingness to travel when needed.
