Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join our SCPO team. This key organisational role focuses on the efficacy of strategic and business change project and programme delivery, assurance, and governance. You will provide dedicated programme management for one or more of our key strategic themes, working closely with colleagues in the SCPO and across the firm to support our growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance global strategic theme communications and knowledge exchange within strategic focus areas.
- Work closely with our project leadership groups to continuously improve our global community of practice.
- Define and plan strategic and business change activities within focus areas to ensure consistency in best practices.
- Collaborate on the development and continuous improvement of programme management methodologies and frameworks.
- Provide ongoing high-level governance and assurance of strategic and business change projects, scrutinizing financial, risk, change, and planning performance.
- Mentor and support colleagues, enhancing project and programme management skills.
- Regularly review programme activities, pipeline, and aspirations, addressing issues and suggesting improvements.
- Ensure accurate and effective resource management of internal projects.
- Oversee the delivery of small strategic and business change projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant degree or subject-related recognized qualification.
- Project Management qualified (APM/Prince2) with 5+ years PQE preferred.
- Programme management qualified (APM/Prince2/MSP/P3O) with 5+ years PQE preferred.
- Intermediate Microsoft O365 skills essential.
- Excellent stakeholder management, reporting, and communication skills.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a programme office or similar role overseeing significant strategic change projects/programmes.
- Experience as a project manager and leader of project teams.
- Strong stakeholder relationship-building skills.
- Experience in driving significant change and improvements across programmes and projects.
- Experience in an engineering consultancy or professional advisory services firm is an advantage.
