Regional IT Manager (UK)

Are you passionate about delivering world-class IT support and leading a dynamic team? We are looking for a Regional IT Manager to join our dedicated global IT team. This role offers the opportunity to manage and develop a regional support team, ensuring the highest standards of IT services across our UK offices.

Acting as a ‘doer’ you will be assuming a key role of, in effect, Account Manager for the local offices to deliver continuous improvements locally alongside influencing the priorities of the wider Global IT delivery teams.

Success in this role will involve the effective management and development of the Regional Support team, whilst effectively building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.  It will also involve ensuring any projects or parts of projects that need to be performed in the region are correctly resourced and completed. The candidate will be able to identify pain points and work collaboratively with team members to make improvements both for the team and Buro Happold’s IT users.

The Regional IT Manager will ultimately be responsible for ensuring day-to-day support and services in the UK are available and running as expected, including AV, Office network availability, on/ off boarding processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor, motivate, and develop regional team members.
  • Monitor and maintain SLO/SLAs for the team.
  • Provide analysis and insights for continuous improvements.
  • Manage local IT projects and ensure they are correctly resourced.
  • Attend IT Management and Office Operations meetings.
  • Maintain and manage the regional UK IT budget.
  • Ensure quarterly audits are completed accurately.
  • Maintain contracts with software/hardware suppliers for the UK region.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in M365/O365, Windows 10/11, Windows Server.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM tools.
  • Knowledge of network fundamentals and MECM/SCCM administration.
  • Previous leadership/management experience (3+ years).
  • Experience managing teams remotely.
  • Knowledge of VC/Conferencing Systems (Teams Rooms).

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • ITILv4 and CompTIA N+ (desirable).
