Mechanical Engineer II

  • Devise mechanical and technical solutions for problems in construction, manufacturing, and building environment design and function.
  • Answer client questions about the design and coordinate with clients regarding issues raised by contractors. 
  • Coordinate workload of Project Discipline Engineers and Technicians, including reviewing to verify quality. 
  • Engineer solutions for detailed design and prepare technical specifications. 
  • Continually ensure practices, policies, strategy, and services represent the client’s best interests and comply with current legislation and the relevant building codes for the relevant state. 
  • Train young engineers on designing HVAC systems. 
  • Create and run programs and scripts for computational design to minimize hours spent in model design and development. 
  • Champion the development of computational tools and train engineers to effectively implement these tools for each project. 
  • Educate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design teams on the design considerations required for Passive House certification for MEP systems. 
  • Coordinate work-sharing with other global offices.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field of study. 
  • Two (2) years of experience with devising technical solutions for problems in construction, manufacturing, and building environment design and function; performing computational design to develop and implement tools to enhance efficiency and quality of design projects; and, international building codes and standards.

 

The salary is $82,000.00 - $92,000.00 annually.
