About You

Are you an architect or engineer at the early stage of your career, passionate about BIM and digital design? Do you enjoy automating your work, programming and squashing bugs? Buro Happold is looking for a Junior BIM Developer to join our global Computational Engineering team to work with a global network of engineers and computer scientists to shape the future of built environment.

We are a highly skilled and well recognised internal team working on a diverse range of projects, from defining representations of the built environment (BHoM), interoperability, to workflow automation, to AI. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a new member that would help us identify, define and develop solutions that will further derisk and increase efficiency of our BIM processes, as well as  maintain the existing code base.

Key duties:

•    developing C# code within our in-house framework, with main focus on Revit automation

•    supporting senior team members in delivery of major tools

•    code maintenance: writing documentation, testing, bugfixing

•    collaboration with the Regional Automation Lead network to identify high value opportunities

•    analysing user requests and turning them into working solutions

•    pushing the boundaries of how we work by injecting latest technology into the development process

Key skills and experience:

•    understanding of BIM as a process

•    hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit

•    C# programming with strong basics of Revit API

•    workflow mapping, diagramming

•    excellent communication skills, ability to convert spoken word to requirements and specifications

•    communicative English

What also matters:

•    other programming languages/frameworks (Python, web development, Unity etc.)

•    visual programming (Grasshopper, Dynamo)

•    experience with open BIM

•    experience with Trimble Tekla

•    interest in AI productivity tools, both in engineering and software development
