We are recruiting a Graduate Engineer to join our Vertical Transportation team in Shanghai. In this role you will work with teams on detailed engineering designs of vertical transportation and people flow solutions. This position will suit a candidate who can start immediately.
What would I do?
In this role, you will be involved in all project phases and will work predominantly with the MEP, Facades & Structures teams. You will be an integral part in delivering innovative Vertical Transportation and People Flow solutions in the built environment, working on a global portfolio of projects.
- Work with teams on detailed engineering designs of vertical transportation and people flow solutions.
- Create and manage design documentation, including AutoCAD, Revit, and specialty specific software
- Prepare technical reports and graphics.
- Provide collaboration with other disciplines as it pertains to interface and infrastructure requirements.
- Under guidance of senior staff, represent Buro Happold at meetings with the client, other professionals, and suppliers.
- Ensure service and project work are carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget.
- Ensure senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
Your skills and experience:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant subject – e.g. Mechanical Engineering.
- Internship experience in the VT sector is preferred, and proven interest in the built environment.
- Eagerness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Some exposure to 3D modelling software (e.g. Revit) would be beneficial.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English.
