What is Asset Consultancy?

Asset Consultancy is a specialist area of practice that works directly with building owners, real estate investors, asset managers and occupiers to help them get the best performance and value from their built assets. We provide practical property and engineering advice that helps clients improve building performance, manage risk and control operational costs across their portfolios.

Our work spans the full building lifecycle and includes Building Surveying, engineering diagnostics, facilities management consultancy and project management. We help clients understand the condition and performance of their assets, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop strategies that support both immediate needs and long-term objectives.

A key part of our approach is understanding the commercial drivers behind every project. We work closely with clients to understand how their buildings support their business operations and future ambitions. By taking an end-user perspective and putting ourselves in our clients' shoes, we are able to provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice that balances cost, performance and risk to deliver tangible outcomes.

As a graduate, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of clients, sectors and projects, developing both technical and commercial skills while working alongside specialists from across Buro Happold's multidisciplinary teams.
