Your next role :To manage the Construction Admin role as per design requisition, Report to individual project leaders / job leaders. Responsible for helping the actual execution at site based on design drawings / specifications 

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Resolve site co-ordination design queries independently and main design queries in co-ordination with design engineer.
  • Liaising with the Buro Happold MEP designers to resolve site design quarries
  • Reporting to BH project leaders / job leaders
  • Advise the Buro Happold Mechanical / Electrical Design Engineers of any technical aspects of the mechanical / electrical services that may affect construction progress, quality and the like.
  • Respond to design RFI’s as required and in co-ordination with design engineers
  • Continually review the contractor’s work on site from quality requirements.
  • Review Contractor’s installation method statements.
  • Review Contractor’s shop drawings against the design [tender] drawings for compliance with the design intent.
  • Review contractor’s MEP shop drawing in conjunction with the BH Mumbai based structural and MEP engineers to ensure engineering co-ordination.
  • Review Contractor’s MEP services material proposals against specified technical performance requirements in co-ordination with Mumbai based design engineer.
  • Undertake general project site observation / inspection of the electrical services works for Contractor’s adherence to the approved shop drawings and Consultant’s specification, good working practices, the construction schedule and health & safety.
  • Be available to undertake off-site inspections of proposed equipment and materials as may be deemed necessary.
  • Undertake prior review of Contractor’s proposed MEP system testing & commissioning methods and schedule.
  • On a spot basis witness MEP system final testing and commissioning.
  • Review and comment on Contractor’s testing and commissioning results.
  • Prepare on-going list of MEP services defects for contractor’s remedial action.
  • Attend project, site progress and any MEP services related technical meetings as directed by the BH Site in charge
  • Prepare draft site / engineer’s instructions, relating to the building MEP services.
  • Provide advice regarding any MEP services related variation costs that may be claimed by the Contractor during the course of the works.
  • Review and comment upon Contractors Operation and Maintenance manuals.
  • Preparation & submission of site visit reports on monthly basis as per contract

Your skills and Experience

  • At least Bachelor’s degree in a Mechanical / Electrical discipline
  • Typically 5 to 8 plus years’ site experience working for a contracting company with added experience in design and planning
  • Experience in working on site and review of shop drawings & design submittals & compliance as per design standards & specifications
  • Review of mock up inspections
  • Witness to testing and commissioning
  • Prepare snag list for handing over
  • Preparing weekly site meetings with client / PMC / Contractors
  • Review of comments on E1 / E2 logs prepared by contractors
