Your key duties


  • Project Management: Lead and manage coastal and marine engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet quality standards, budgetary constraints, and client timelines.
  • Technical Design: Develop innovative and sustainable solutions for marine structures, coastal protection, and related infrastructure, considering factors such as wave action, tidal forces, sea level rise as well as environmental impact.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct thorough site assessments to identify potential risks and opportunities on waterfront developments and marina projects.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, environmental specialists, ecologists, and planners, to integrate coastal engineering solutions into broader projects.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing expert advice to achieve project objectives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, codes, and standards relevant to coastal and marine engineering.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in coastal engineering to drive innovation and continuous improvement in our design and planning services.
  • Sustainability: Challenge the status quo and promote eco-friendly solutions considering lower carbon footprint and ecological enhancements.

 

Your skills and experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Coastal Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in coastal and marine engineering, with a focus on design and project management.
  • Familiarity with relevant software tools for coastal modelling and design is recommended (SWAN, MIKE 21, Telemac, Delft 3D, Civil 3D, Google Sketch-up, etc.). 
  • Good knowledge of marine structural design is advisable.
  • Strong understanding of environmental and ecological considerations in coastal engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Professional engineering license or equivalent certification. Chartership is a plus.
  • Previous experience working in the Middle East is desirable.
