Your next role
As a BIM Technician, you are a creative, outgoing individual with strong communication skills and a passion for design and technology. Your proficiency in Revit will be key as you contribute to a wide range of exciting projects. You’ll be part of our structures and specialist teams, collaborating with other BIM technicians, engineers, and design disciplines including Architecture and MEP. You’ll be responsible for producing BIM models and drawing documentation that meet project requirements and support the delivery of world-class engineering solutions.
Your key duties
As a key part of the team, your responsibilities will be varied but will broadly include:
- Producing BIM models and drawing/details from Engineers sketches and from scratch using architectural drawings and or concepts.
- Managing drawing issues and maintaining digital project files, ensuring daily housekeeping and organization.
- Coordinating with project teams in delivery of Structural, Vertical Transportation, and Facades drawing work to agreed deadlines.
- Developing and maintaining Revit content libraries through creation of families, documentation of standards, and maintenance and development of typical detail libraries.
- Setting up project models according to company standards, including coordination setup, model linking, copy/monitoring of key elements (e.g., grids, slabs), and creation of views and sheets.
- Training staff and developing curriculum on the use of Revit, Rhino, visual programming, and computational modelling.
- Coordinating detailed model changes between structural and architectural models.
- Managing clash detection processes between multiple disciplines and the structures models.
- Providing document control including printing, exporting to DWG/PDF, and PDF file maintenance.
- Tracking industry trends, attending industry events, and bringing techniques to improve our internal processes.
Your skills and experience
As a BIM Technician, it will be helpful if you are able to demonstrate:
- 1-2 years of relevant industry experience as a BIM technician working on a range of projects.
- A strong interest in building systems, construction, and design.
- Good communication skills, experience in dealing with other employees, experience working as a member in project teams, and experience delivering to external clients.
- Proficiency in Revit, with experience modelling structures, vertical transportation systems, and façades.
- Familiarity with parametric and computational tools such as Grasshopper, Dynamo, and scripting languages like Python or C#.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
What we offer
- Salary range of $82,500 to $87,000. This will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience
