BIM Technician

We are recruiting for a BIM Technician to join our Specialist BIM team in our London office 

This role is suited to a candidate with experience in using Revit software, looking for an opportunity to pursue industry leading designs within a vibrant multi-disciplinary practice. The candidate will have the opportunity to develop their career supported by a company Technician career path.

We proudly support hybrid working however candidates will be encouraged to travel to our London office 3 days a week.

Your responsibilities will be extremely varied, but can typically be expected to comprise...

  • Producing detailed, coordinated service models accurately.
  • Collaborating with several Specialist Disciplines (IT, Security, AV) to deliver quality BIM projects to agreed deadlines.
  • Advising and guiding on the planning and management of advanced Revit techniques.
  • Quality control of BIM models and associated drawings, schedules etc.
  • Support in reviewing project BIM BEP’s and EIR’s to meet requirements.
  • Engaging with the wider Buro Happold BIM community.
  • Developing sketches and concepts into drawing details with a good understanding of the engineering practices behind them.
  • Providing Training to the Specialist Discipline teams.
  • Managing resources of your workload and effectively communicating to the Leadership team

 

Your Skills & Experience 

We’ll help you meet your goals, respecting your ideas and fostering your creativity, collaboration and innovation.

As an experienced Revit Technician, we would expect that you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience working with Autodesk Revit software.
  • Effective and flexible communication skills and experience of working with a variety of collaborators.
  • Experience in managing your own resources on multiple projects.
  • A proactive approach to your own learning and technical development.
  • Experience of training would be an advantage
  • A creative mindset that challenges the normal way of working.
  • An interest in digital design tools and scripting to improve efficiency and workflows.
  • Experience and awareness of automation tools and Navisworks 
  • Ideally HNC, HND, or BEng in a relevant discipline.
