We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Design Manager to join our team and act as a Project Leader for complex multi-disciplinary projects, taking ownership of successful and coordinated delivery.
The Design Management Team is part of a larger Projects group, consisting of 50 employees across our UK office locations. We are seeking a new team member for our Manchester office.

Key duties
- Provide effective leadership to the team, offering direction and technical advice.
- Communicate project strategy, brief, and client requirements to team members.
- Enhance productivity through improved processes, procedures, and systems.
- Maintain an overview of the commercial aspects of the project.
- Drive project performance, service delivery, and technical and commercial outcomes.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks.
- Champion client care and work proactively with clients.
- Review team performance and support their development.
- Implement the latest learning and development initiatives within the team.
- Monitor project spending against the planned budget.
- Collaborate with the Project Director and central Finance team on invoicing and financial management.
- Manage document records in line with the BH Quality Management System.
Your skills and experience
- Extensive experience in the construction industry.
- Proven experience as a project manager or leader on multi-discipline projects with a construction value of £50 million or more.
- Ability to lead complex multi-disciplinary projects and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in project delivery, risk management, and commercial awareness.
- Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and process enhancement.
